Dr. Minne Oostra has 25 years of experience in building online scientific software. Oostra is founder and director of the Ontwikkelfabriek. De Ontwikkelfabriek (OF) has a background in Social Sciences and IT. OF has created numerous IT applications and tools for science and researchers. For over 15 years, Minne has worked work with the University of Groningen (especially with the Faculty of Spatial Sciences) developing a.o. map-based spatial governance enhancing tools, of which Greenmapper is a key tool (greenmapper.org). Oostra has experience in building large-scale online participatory tools for spatial planning and nature conservation. He was also the key software engineer for earlies SES portals built in the eLTER project and the WaLTER (long-term Wadden monitoring) project.
